“The Mt. Shasta Nordic Center’s youth program is a great benefit to my students. I integrate some science curriculum into the day, and I love seeing their pink cheeks and smiles from being active outdoors on cross country skis. With tight budgets at school, the travel reimbursement funds available from the Nordic Center to schools makes this healthy activity available to us,”
Julie May, Mt. Shasta, CA

The Nordic Youth Program serves youth from diverse socio-economic circumstances and physical abilities from North and South Siskiyou County. The purpose of this program is to remove barriers that prohibit access to the Nordic skiing and expose kids to fun, healthy winter outdoor activities.
